Wholesale Gasoline Prices Rise

The last 2 days have seen gasoline prices increase almost 9ΒΆ on the wholesale market - it will be interesting to see how that will impact retail gasoline prices at the pump. One of the causes for the price jump is the recent inventory report showing a change of zero, when people were expecting an increase of close to 2 million gallons.

My buddy sent me a link to this igoogle gadget that allows you to locate the cheapest gas stations in your area. Granted the GasLimit concept is meant to help you manage gasoline costs, but it cant hurt to buy at the cheapest gas stations. Remember, the GasLimit cap product is tested against the average surveyed gas price for your location - so buying cheaper gasoline will still help you bring your cost down.

Are Prices Easing?

Here’s a short clip I found on Yahoo Finance about the recent easing of gasoline prices (if you call a few cents per gallon “easing”) - will OPEC keep things tight? is this a Crude Oil issue, or a Refining issue? And finally - without any particular news causing gasoline prices to be so high - what happens when something does come along to give us a price jump???
